Wallpaper Request: I know, I know....

Wallpaper Request: I know, I know....

Wondering if anyone can/want to make a nature/landscape related wallpaper. Using a sakura (cherry blossom) tree as the main focus. Minimalisic background as to not distract the point of the wallpaper.

I know, I know. It's a long shot, but I trying my luck here and see if anyone is up to the challenge. There's just too many pond, ocean, sunset, mountain wallpapers.

Here you go dear, let me know what you think. As I said, if it's not what you're looking for we'll try again.

Or how is this?

The screenshot IS exactly what I had in mind for the tree. I like the sky, but it's a bit cloudy? Show more sky if possible. It might just be that image is too small, but the "grass" seems odd... flat/glassy.

Hmm, maybe take the grass from your bonzai wallpaper and merge with the above screenshot and have clear sky (w/ a touch of cloud). Again, the screenshot may be too small, but add more detail to the tree, it's too dark. Other ppl may have suggestions.

uM0p ap!sdn - I don't have spyware on my machine, that's the point as I don't want any either. That site opens a "pop under" window which then tries to kick of the a download of it's trickler download app under guise of calling itself "Precision time" - see http://cexx.org/gator.htm#ggviewer-offsite-nav-10105048 for details.

Anyhow, when I check the link again now, the pop up attempted download isn't happening, so maybe that "ad" as on rotation on that site and has stopped for now....

A lot of stuff like that can be tied to individual banner ads, too, without the site's knowledge if they are done by an outside service. They can spawn pop-unders, etc.

You guys must be using IE. Download FireFox and you won't see another popup again!

NO. I use IE with the Google toolbar. I haven't seen a popup in 6 months.

And with my setup, IE is faster. And tabs never made sense to me.

Or just get the Google toolbar. Blocks popups, buncha other junk. I use it, works well and saves a click or two when i need to search for something.

http://www.mozilla.org/ Tab browsing is cool.
Never said it was not cool, I just don't care for it.

Firefox has google search builtin. I use it because it's faster than IE (for me) and Tabs = 1 browser window. It doesn't hurt to try it out, or does it!?

I have it installed and use it occasionally along with MyIE2

thanks upside

downloading now... thanks again upside. at the moment, i prefer IE over opera, i personally dont like tabs, too wierd. i like it all to be displayed on the taskbar for me.

No problem. Make sure you're downloading FireFox and not Mozilla. Mozilla has everything, FireFox is a stripped down browser version. Tabs were weird for me when I fist downloaded Firebird(old version), but I'm used to it. Takes up less space when you're browsing multiple sites.

And the best part is that hackers aren't attacking any potential holes it MIGHT have.

OK uM0p ap!sdn, give this one a shot.

MGiff, the tree needs to be clean up a bit. It's a little blurry and has some other minor "dirt". Possibly replace the background with another? Take your time (all the time you need).

Unfortunately I have all the time in the world!

Yes I'm using IE, but I usually have Javascript either disabled or set to prompt, plus using google bar to block many popups, and sometimes using Proxomotron to really take control of things for some web sites to make them do what I want. I've tried Opera/Mozilla/most other browsers over the years when designing web sites to make sure they work with a range of browsers, but despite the flaws, since most web sites are lazy and only design for IE, I tend to stick with that now...Ah well...in this case whatever ad was causing it has stopped on those pages for now anyhow...and I'm going to stop butting in on this thread any more.
