Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information on your system.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need it full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Fences version.
  3. What is your setting on Windows "Auto arrange icons"?

Thank you.

Auto arrange is off

As a test turn on auto arrange and see if the issue still there.

Klo Ctrl + Shift + N, cause new folder to create on weird place.

if auto arrange is on : after pressing enter it goes to right place

if auto arrange is off : it creates new folder on weird place and stay there.

I provided a video

This is expected behavior, no? Since when you turn on the auto arrange it will auto arrange for you. But, if you turn off auto arrange, it could be anywhere. Unless, if you set Fences rules to make all new icons to automatically move into a temporary Fences so you can easily find them later.

I tested windows default behavior and compared creating new folder "with right click then new folder" vs "Ctrl + Shift + N" unfortunately this is windows weird behavior not Stardock problem.

this is windows default behavior:

Right click then create a new folder : folder creating under mouse cursor (good)

Ctrl + Shift + N : folder creating on a random place (bad)

---

so consider my comment as a feature request :

pressing Ctrl + Shift + N creates a folder under mouse cursor.
