No luck with that setting, there's no change between "Only when centered start button" and "Never", also tried the offset option below that setting, no change either. And setting it to "Always" offsets the Start Menu completely (increases the space from the left and adds space from below/vertically).
I see now that you are talking about the 1 pixel gap on the left side of the menu.
I get that on gap on the Windows 11, Windows app, Windows pro, and Windows launcher styles, but not the Windows 7, Modern, and Windows 10 styles.
Not really sure why this is happening, but you are not alone with this issue.
