Does anyone know how to change the selection box?

Im using WindowBlinds eXPerience theme, but for final touch I need to change selection box to XP text and icon highlight.

I felt nostalgic, and spent the whole day trying to make my Win10 as much XP as its possible. I downloaded openshell, downloaded WindowBlinds and the eXPerience theme for it, and watched tons of videos. The result is pretty solid, but one thing is driving me crazy. I spent most of my time trying to find the answer, but it seems to be almost impossible to change the selection box or just remove it. I found the same question as mine on many forums, but there is no solution or clue at all. So maybe there is a setting for this somewhere in Windowblinds? Or anywhere else?

I am not sure what you mean by "selection box". Can you provide a screenshot? Also, what version of Windows 10 are you using? You can find out by typing  in "Winver.exe" in the run dialog box.

I think I see the reason for your issue. Windowblinds works best when it is used along with Start11. While you can still use Open Shell, you are missing out on some cool features, and you may need to purchase and install Start11 in order to be able to do what you want. Start11 will also work on Windows 10.  I myself used to use Open Shell, formerly Classic shell, but in order to have and to be able to do the custom things that I wanted, I felt that I needed to acquire and use Start11. As far as I know, that is the best answer I can give you. There may be a workaround, however, for your issue that I am not aware of.

In Windowblinds you can change the selection box by changing this image. The image is 3 states button images. And you can make it full transparent so it will not show up anything when you hover or click on an icon on your desktop or Windows Explorer. Do note if you wish it to be fully transparent, for me, it will be confusing when you on your Windows explorer selecting your files.

Obviously you can make the 2nd and 3rd States a little less transparent so something will change when you click/select on item/s.
