Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. That is indeed very strange. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Start11 full version number.
  3. Have you tried rebooting the system and see if the issue goes away.
  4. If you disable full screen Start menu, the normal start menu, don't have flip issue?
  5. Do you have multi monitors? If you do, need to know all resolution, scale (100%,125% etc) and connection type (HDMI, DVI, DP etc) on for each monitors.
  6. Windows display language set to?

Thank you.

1. Microsoft Windows 11 Home 10.0.22631 Build 22631. No need for Winver.exe, cmd does that.

2. Start11 v2.08

3. Yes.

4. Yes it does, no change.

5. No, one normal laptop monitor.

6. Hebrew. I assume this is the main problem, since its an RTL language.

No, that does not give the full build number. It should  be something like. Windows 11 v23H2 OS Build 22631.3958 that last four digits is needed.

Just as a test, If you change to English as display language does the Start panel appear correctly?

1. Build 22631.3958

2. Yes, when changing to English it appears correctly.

Also, when using the earlier version of start11 it appeared correctly in hebrew too, but since I wanted to have 2 screens, I had to purchase the new version unfortunately. My other screen still has the previous version installed and everything works great.

Hello,
From the lead Dev on Start11, I am afraid RTL is not supported: Ref: https://forums.stardock.com/521372/get;3896607. To be sure, I have forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Thank you.

Well this is weird, since I have start11 v1 and never had any troubles with it, it works perfectly.

I agree, this is strange that v1 supports RL languages and v2 does not. Perhaps someone on the development team can explain the reasoning for not supporting RL languages on v2.

Does the LR language appear normal in the Start11 menu when not in full screen mode?

Are you using the Enhanced taskbar?

No enhanced taskbar, only full screen start.

It has inverted text even when not on full screen.

Does it appear normal in the default Windows start menu?

by "default" do you mean when Start11 isnt used? It appears as it should. But when Start11 is used, the text is reverted.

So, it doesn't seem to be a limitation of Windows 11. I am curious why Start11 can't make this work.

As I said, hopefully someone from the Dev team can answer this for you. Keep an eye on this thread for any replies.

I'm open to any solution.

If I'll be able to use Start11 v1 on both PCs, that would be great.

If I'll be able to disable text on the fullscreen of Start11 v2, that would also be great.

It does'nt have to be a fix for the inverted text, any of these would work actually.

You can hide the text, but that doesn't seem like a great solution, as the icons are also reversed unless you choose a non RL language.

To hide the text, right-click on a blank space and select "Appearance>Hide icon text." You will have to do this on a Group basis, so you will have to perform this procedure for each Group individually.

When you right-click in Start11, are the context menus in Hebrew or English?

Also, I found this thread from July of 2023 of someone else with the same issue, so I know Stardock is aware of the RL language issue.

https://forums.stardock.com/521332/add-support-for-right-to-left-languages

And this thread on changing the language for Start11.

Hope some of this helps you.

Sorry didnt notice I was in a different thread.

Thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for! A way to disable the text.

I dont care much about the icons being inverted, the text is what bugged my eyes.

I tried deleting all lng files except for en.lng and en-us.lng, will edit after reboot to see if it works or not.

Anyways even after reboot deleting the lng didnt work for me, its still inverted - but I'll stay with text disabled, that is good enough
