Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more details on your system.

  1. Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Use Winver.exe.
  2. Start11 full version number.
  3. Screenshots of what the issue would help us understand your issue faster and better.

Thank you.

Also, what start menu style are you using?

On my system, I don't see this option on the Windows 7 or Modern styles.

All other styles have "More>Create shortcut on desltop."

I am using the Windows 7 or Modern styles. why would it not be there? i have the latest updates of Win 11 on a brand new surface pro 10.

You're referring to Pin icons or All program items?

All program?

i am not seeing the send to in either. i am not seeing that long list of choices either. i am trying to use the snip tool to capture what i see but the start screen collapses when i try to start the snip.

i took a photo but i can't figure out how to insert one in this message. i am looking at all the choices in the list you have and i have only 13. I forgot to mention, this is the same on both the old Win 10 and the new Win 11 laptops.

On Sniptool, I believe you can set the delay snip so that you have time to open up the menu for the screenshot.

And, you can use one of these two icons to post image.

Do you see the "+" icons? If you do, please use that.

Those Icons are not "All Programs" Items. Those most probably for your "most used applications" items. And, from what I checked those do not have "Send to Desktop" links. And, it also don't appear on default, Windows 7 start menu, refer screenshot below. Its from Windows 7 right click menu on most used application item.

i am not clear on what you are saying but the calculator is a program. every program i have tried it will not show the send to (desktop  shortcut). give me a program to try to prove it is not there.  this is powerpoint i selected.

ok i put it into grid windows 7 style and i have tried it on everything and i am not getting what you are showing. i can uninstall and reinstall but what is the windows message you are getting at the beginning of the install?

is there a setting you used in start 11 that might be why it is working for you?

From what I know, there is nothing special on my system. I think something else has changed something in your system. Do you have any other 3rd party applications installed that change your Start menu behavior, such as StartAllback, Explorerpatcher, OpenShell, any mod done on your right click menu. etc?

i uninstalled and reinstalled but at no time did i get a windows message. it has to be some windows setting. but others are having the same issue.

Not really sure what you're saying. What you mean "get a windows message", what do you mean by this?

Also, if you on Windows 11 pro edition, please do Windows sandbox test and see if you see the same issue in there: https://forums.stardock.com/505872/start11-support-faq#windowssandbox.
