Rainlendar............new version out NOW

moshi kindly mentioned on another thread that a new version of Rainlendar is now out from yesterday - version 0.19

This is a popular application with the members here so i thought it worth starting a thread on its own to hightlight the fact.

Big thanks to moshi for the "heads up".

Is there a problem with this new version? I can't seem to change the configuration or the skins. Never had that problem with V18.

that´s a not too smart way to report bugs or ask for help.
give more details: what OS are you on, which Rainlendar version (.19 or .19.1), do you get error messages (if so, what do they show), etc.

just from guessing: is there a file called Rainlendar.ini in your Rainlendar folder? if not, quit Rainlendar, create a new text file and rename it to Rainlendar.ini

From the What's New Page at Rainy's site:

28.1.2004
Bug fix edition #1: Rainlendar 0.19.1
This one should behave better if you are upgrading from older version of Rainlendar. You can just install the new version on top of the old one. No language changes in this version.

Note about the new locations of the ini-files: If you do a clean install, Rainlendar.ini, Events.ini and Todo.ini are saved to you application data folder (%appdata%). However, if you have Rainlendar.ini in the Rainlendar's folder the ini-files will be placed there instead. This is for backwards compatibility.

Just in case you're having trouble finding the .ini files.

I've been playing with the new Rainlendar most of the night, updating a whole slew of Rainy's to take advantage of the added functionality... I love the To Do list feature in this version!

However, it occurred to me as I was doing this, that the majority are not likely to do as I am and modify the files on their own for their personal use, especially since it means an additional graphic, or graphics if you try to take advantage of all the updated features. They'll soon be clamoring for authors to update all the Rainy's out there, which are typically loaded with Sysmetrix skins now (My sympathies to pinchecl and don especially )

Anyway, I posted about this here https://www.wincustomize.com/msgboard.asp?BID=WC&id=64143 , but I'm suggesting it might be time for Rainlendar to get it's own section. Anyone else have thoughts about this?
