Fences 5 - Keeps Displaying Update Prompt Even Though I am Already Running the Latest Version

I am running Fences v5.53.

Yesterday, after installing v5.53, Fences immediately prompted me to update to the latest version when I opened it. I did (thinking that there was a newer version available, and sure enough, the version number was still v5.53.

Today, it prompted me again to update to Fences 5, even though I am running v5.53 and the changelog does not show a newer version than 5.53 (released on 5-22-24).

Please fix this issue.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

It should not remove you saved fences layout snapshots but to be sure you can use this guide to backup your saved layout snapshots. https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#backupsnapshots
