Fences 5 failed to install- "Uninstall already running"

Upgrading from 3.08 on a win10 machine

When starting computer, desktop was blank. No Fences and would not show on double click.  Fences shortcut reported unable to locate Fences.exe.  A search found no Fences.exe on the system but the Stardock directory Decided to reinstall 3.08 but it failed stating that "uninstall already running".  

Disabled fences in startup and rebooted but Fences install failed with same result.

Decided to upgrade to Fences 5 but, after download, install failed with same result.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

First problem: Because Fences.exe is not running there is no "configure fences option to take a snapshot.  Any way to save off the configuration files manually?
