Rounded taskbar interferes with Quick Launch bar.....

Start 11 version 2.05

I have been a happy fan of Start 10 since it was released! I just upgraded to Start 11 today with version 2.05.

I use the old Windows 7 "Quick Launch" toolbar (I always loved this compact launcher), and I also show all icons in the system tray.  I am using a left justified task bar at the bottom of the screen.  I also use a double height taskbar.

Screen resolution is 1920 X 1080 (I have not tested it with a different resolution)

Windows Version:

The Problem:

I decided to try out the rounded taskbar feature (which is cool!).
Unfortunately, there appears to be a bug associated with the feature....

When I enable a "rounded taskbar" the search window displays a mirror of the icons in the quick launch toolbar.

This happens no matter which "rounded taskbar" option I select.
I played around with settings and it would come and go, but there was no setting that did not display this anomaly with rounded taskbar applied.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I try out to recreate your issue on my system. But I can not see your issue on my system. I can not reproduce it. Only thing I see difference is that. Your quick launch toolbar is with Stack icons, but, I can not get mine to stack up. How do get them to do that?

Thanks

Basj,

To stack quick launch icons, do the following:

  1. Unlock the taskbar
  2. Make sure your taskbar is 2 rows tall by grabbing the top edge upward
  3. Grab the divider line to the right of the quick launch bar and drag left or right to stack icons

UPDATE:
I noticed that once I click into the search window, the mirrored icons disappear.  So this seems to be a screen refresh issue of some kind.  I will let you know if the interference returns for any reason including window/mouse or menu movement or rebooting the computer.

Okay, thanks for your guide, yes I get those icons to stack. But, still I don't see the issue on my system. Your observation might be spot on. Its not refreshing issue. Do report back if it reappear.

Thank you,
