Issues grouping icons as folders in v2.05

Hi there,

I'm using v2.05 of Start11 and I'm having issues getting icons to group into folders. My Windows 11 version is 23H2 Build 22631.3085.

I've tried dragging pinned shortcuts on top of one another whilst holding shift and the menu does quite a dance offering me every possibility of placement other than joining them into a folder despite showing a plus symbol, I've also tried doing it without holding the shift key in case the method has changed since v1.5, a plus sign appears in both instances but aside from the occasional fluke I can't get them to group. There are issues in general when rearranging the icons on the menu. Is there another method I should be using? If not is there an earlier version of version 2 that I can try? I've only just upgraded so v2.05 is all that is available for download other than that I've only got saved versions of Start11 v1, but if I have to return to that, it makes paying for the upgrade pointless.

I'm using the Windows Launcher style, but have also tried switching to other styles but it makes no difference. Any help would be appreciated.

I tested this on my system with the Windows Launcher style and it is very finicky. I was able to group some icons and not others.

Windows 11 Pro - 22635.3140; Start11v2 - 2.05

Just to check something, Do your tiles/icons has hidden caption? If it was hidden, try un-hide it, just as a test, and see if that help.

Sorry for the delay, I'm not at home right now and didn't expect such a fast response, I do have the titles blanked out, so I will try putting them back when I get home and see if that resolves it, if it does I will let you know and if not I will do the screen capture and perhaps you can establish if I am doing something wrong.

Adding the category titles did help things a little, it's still a little temperamental, but I've managed to group what I need. Thank you for your help and have a great weekend.

There is a new Start11v2.06 Beta just released: https://forums.stardock.com/525921/. Please test on this version and report back. From my short testing on it. Grouping work better on this one.

The 2.06 beta makes this far easier to use as it resolved a rounding issue causing it to get the wrong line detected.
