Start11 v2.05 Taskbar icons

Hi Everyone

I have a small issue with Start11 v2.05

When I boot up my PC the Start11 taskbar shows the tray icons offset like this:

When I open Start11 config and Restart Explorer on the Taskbar tab it restarts as expected like this:

Not a major bug but it's annoying.  Or is it a setting somewhere? Any suggestions?

Start11 v2.05, HP laptop running Windows 11 Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3085)

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. You on touch capable system? If yes, try this setting change from Automatic to Force Mode touch device. Might need to restart explorer for it to work.

Thanks

Hi

I have the same problem but in a different scenario.

I power on my Surface which has no keyboard attached so is working in Touch Mode. I then remote desktop into it from another PC and the taskbar icons are not all aligned correctly, see screenshot below. I have the `Automatic mode (recommended)' set.

`Restart explorer` fixes the issue. But I then loose some applications that run in the background as a tray icon, for example Corsair's ICUE software. This controls my mouse.

Happens every time from a cold boot and remote desktop into it.

I'm also running:

Windows 11 Pro

23H2

Build: 22631.3085

Can you look into the alignment issue please?

Have you tried this, as I suggested above? Use the Force touch device mode.

If you lose your icons for ICUE software then thats a bug in that software as applications which add system tray icons are supposed to recreate them when notified explorer is restarting.

We have made some changes to automatic mode for the next Start11 update which should hopefully remove your need to restart explorer as you are currently.

I had the same problem on my Microsoft Surface Pro 8.

Setting Automatic to Force Mode touch device, fixed it for me too.

Hi

I installed v2.06 beta and confirm with the feature "Taskbar touch mode detection" with "Automatic mode (recommended)" enabled the align issue has now gone away for me.
