Do you have any other application installed that change/modified your Windows taskbar? For example. Startallback, ExplorerPatcher, OpenShell etc etc.

Thank you,

Thanks for the bug report.  We have adjusted this for the next update to correctly swap those icon colours and not touch the text on the Win10 style.

2.06 Steam Beta fixes my issue not completely, but almost. Will reply to the 2.06 beta thread.

I found an issue today; either a new bug or not.

My laptop is an Asus Zenbook Flip S running Windows 11 22H2 22621.3007

I very, very rarely use it in flipped mode. Yesterday, I did just that, making use of the touchscreen to do some onscreen drawing. I don't like the tablet mode so have told Windows not to use it if I flip the laptop. I flipped it back before shutting down.

Today, the Windows elements of the taskbar were half offscreen -- shifted downwards. After a restart or two, and working standalone and with an external monitor fitted (the mode I was in when I flipped the laptop) I was unable to resolve the problem by changing screen resolutions and the like, and eventually decided to switch off Start11 to see if it was implicated.

Long story short: the problem resolved when I switched off "Let Start 11 enhance the taskbar" and allowed the explorer restart.

Toggling the setting again (and restarting explorer) didn't induce the problem, but I found that changing the setting of "Taskbar touch mode detection" from "Automatic mode (recommended)" to "Force not touch mode device" brought the problem back.

I'd guess that Automatic mode is slightly broken?

Application preview of icons on taskbar is slightly off. In the screenshot below, the mouse pointer is on OneNote, but the preview is for the next icon (Signal).

Multi-monitor setup, Mode: Sometimes combine taskbar buttons (on primary and secondary displays)

I've been a fan of Start11 but since the past few updates when I "configure advanced taskbar" and choose (or not) anything there my taskbar cuts in half and I can see only the top half of most icons. Start11 on my desktop computer never has any such problems. Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ with Windows 11 23H2. See attached image.

Please install the 2.06 beta thats available.  This should help this.

Alternatively you can set the taskbar touch mode detection on start11 taskbar settings to force touch mode (scroll to the bottom of the page to find).  2.06 adjusts automatic mode a little to improve detection.

When you right click an entry in the Start11 menu (Windows 7 classic theme) the context-menu opens (here autostart is only an example, it doesn't matter which entry is chosen)

Problem: The letters for the hotkeys are not underlined. It's only the "&"-sign is displayed. The second picture is from another machine. There the hotkey is "underlined" (without the "&" sign).

What setting causes this behavior?

I uninstalled Start11 and installed the new 2.0.6.2, but same behavior.

However, I discovered the following. When I connect to the machine via RDP, the hotkeys are displayed correctly (i.e. underlined). Could it be that there is a compatibility issue with the Intel graphics driver? The NVIDIA graphics card is installed on the machines where the problem does not occur. When I set the color depth to BPC_12 in the Intel graphics control center, the error went away. So it seems to be somehow related to the Intel graphics driver.

Any idea?

All,

While this release thread will remain pinned until 2.06 is released, it will be locked to see that most all issues in 2.05 have been addressed in 2.06.

If not already, please install the 2.06 beta to see if your 2.05 issues remain.  If so, please report there with all the supporting information to illustrate and reproduce it.
