Fences 5 Blur background feature does not work

Hello.

I have tried to turn on the blur background feature, but nothing happens after checking the box.
I don't use software like dynamic wallpapers, and have tried reinstalling the software via purge, but the problem persists.

This is the interface displayed after turning on the blur background, you can see there is no blurring effect at all:

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Sorry, I can not reproduce your issue on my system. But, I notice you're running Windows 10 v1903 which very old. Please update your Windows 10 to current official release. V22H2 (OS Build 19045.3930) Test it under this Windows 10 version, and report back.

Also note: V1903 already end of it service back in Dec 2020: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/announcements/windows-10-1903-end-of-servicing

Hello,

I have the same problem - the 'Blur background' option has no effect when selected. I'm running Fences v5.0.4 on Windows 11 Enterprise 21H2 laptop.

Can you please assist?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Check if Windows transparency effects in Windows setting turn on. Also try disable per-Fence transparency.
