Skinstudio and Windowsblinds keeps asking for Product Key

Why do the Object Desktop software keep asking for Product Keys? I'm REALLY getting sick of this!

I tried that for WindowBlinds, and it worked ONCE. There is no Skinstudio folder to delete. Should I just delete ALL of the folders under Stardock?

No, I don't think Skinstudio has activation license directly. Skinstudio work when Windowblinds activated. If it is not than Skinstudio also don't work.

Also, if you have product such as EaseUS CleanGenius or similar in function, you might having issue because of it keep deleting the license.sig file from your system. Reference: https://forums.stardock.com/523986

I don't understand what that means. I do not have EaseUS CleanGenius or anything similar. I am using Kaspersky Standard antivirus program.

This is the problem: As long as I only run WindowBlinds, and not SkinStudio, I do not need to reactivate. When I run one, then the other, BOTH of them keep asking for product keys. I have tried using the product key, then tried using my username and password for activation, No matter what I try, if I run WindowBlinds, then SkinStudio, they both start asking for product keys. I deleted the WindowBlinds folder under Stardock. See the screen captures below:

Then I launch SkinStudio from Object Desktop, and I get:

I can understand having copy protection, but this is not only ridiculous, it is unacceptable. Isn't there a developer who knows how to fix this issue?

Here is the illogic. I am running WindowBlinds (See the screen), and I opened SkinStudio. Which popped up the WindowBlinds activation dialog. How is this logical?

I obviously am working in the product it is asking an activation code for. Can you explain this?

The issue is you are probably using the wrong version of SkinStudio for your WindowBlinds version.

This causes the other one to need reactivation if you activate the other.

So use SKS 11 with WB11 and SKS 10 with WB10

It is possible that your problem is with Kaspersky deleting the registration signature file. Can you check this folder and see if there is a licence.sig in that folder : C:\ProgramData\Stardock\WindowBlinds (That is ProgramData and not Program Files)

If that file is missing, it's Kaspersky deleting it, and you will have to make an exception for that folder in Kaspersky exclution settings.

It would have been nice to know that the two versions need to be the same, instead of the never-ending loop for activation. Also, having SkinStudio version 10 Install button still available in Object Desktop Instead of version 11 is very confusing.

Sloppy programming and poor communications does that.  Not impressed at all.
