Bug with activating a window from the taskbar using touch

Edition Windows 11 Home

Version 22H2

Installed on ‎11/‎2/‎2022

OS build 22621.2715

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22677.1000.0

Start 11 v. 2.03

Using the latest version of start 11,  I'm having trouble restoring a window from the task bar using touch on both an Asus flip 14 and a Surface Pro 8.  Using touch, the window opens and immediately recloses.  The task bar functions normally using a mouse or touchpad.  Sometimes if I touch and hold slightly longer the window will open properly, but it's hit and miss.  I use my Surface as a tablet a lot and this bug makes it really difficult to use.  I use start 11 on all my computers so I'm not sure if the bug is something new in Windows, but it seems more likely that its start 11.  Is anyone else using a touchscreen experiencing this issue?  I would hate to have to uninstall start 11.  I've been using it ever since MS "improved" the start menu.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Most probably need to uninstall Start11, reboot immediately and see if the issue still there. If I remember correctly, I have not get similar issue before.

Thanks

I tried uninstalling start 11.  The taskbar functions correctly with touch.  The bug is in start 11 for sure as it returns immediately when reinstalled.

Have you tried it with a touchscreen?

Have you tried these setting? Try all three setting and see if it make any difference. Report back.

I tried each of the three settings.  No change in behavior.

Please check this video posted by another user. Does the video look similar to your issue?

The video link says it has been deleted.  I believe I've described the problem accurately.  Do you need a video to visualize a window opening and closing quickly?  Has anyone at Stardock tried the new version with a touchscreen?  (Already asked but not answered.)  It looks to me like the window may be activating on a touch (button) down event instead of a touch (button) up event as it should.  That would explain the quick flash and the occasional successful opening of the window.  Technically you shouldn't have to worry about that but MS always seems to be fiddling with its implementation of touch events.

It seems to happen if you are quick with your touches. If you are slower it worked fine.

This should be addressed in the next update, thanks for letting us know.
