How to prevent windowblinds from altering my taskbar

Hi,

I'm wondering if there is a way to prevent WindowBlinds from changing my taskbar.

It's causing issues because WindowBlinds is incompatible with my PC, and when I try to customize the taskbar, the buttons get moved around on my screen.

I've found a workaround by using StartAllBack instead, but if I have both applications enabled, the same button issue occurs because WindowBlinds overrides the SIB taskbar.

If I only use SIB, then the taskbar is the only thing that resembles Windows 7, while the rest of my PC is still just Windows 11.

My solution is for WindowBlinds to customize everything except the taskbar and for SIB to customize only the taskbar.

Unfortunately, there's no option to prevent WindowBlinds from changing my taskbar, which ruins all of this.

Is there any other way to achieve this?

(I have tried selecting the "Default" option on the taskbar-only slider, but instead of leaving the default theme as it is, it forces it, and once again, overrides SIB from making changes.)

Any help is appreciated!

What exactly do you mean by "moved around on my screen"?

What version of Windowblinds are you using? You can find the version number on the about screen. And what version of Windows 11? Need the full version number (run winver.exe).

Does this happen with all windowblinds skins? A screenshot of your issue would be very useful to help you too.

I cannot provide a screenshot as it took me around 30 minutes to fix my screen after the issue, and I really do not want to go through the stress again.

I am not too sure of the cause, but I believe that it is because of my screen resolution, as half of the taskbar applications get shoved into the little area where the clock & wifi logo are, and some of them just shoot around the screen (obviously I cannot open them during this)

Windows 11 version 23H2, OS Build 22631 2792

I can't check the WB version right now, but I only downloaded it a day or 2 ago so I assume it's the latest version.

I am not really interested in trying to fix the glitch (unless that is my only option) as I've been told prior with other posts on here that the WindowBlinds taskbar settings are incompatible with my windows version.

I would much prefer to simply disable it from altering my taskbar in any way to SIB can do the work on it's own.

Thanks

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. From what I know there is no option to have WB skip Taskbar skinning.

Thank you.

I don't know who told you that, but the WB taskbar should be compatible with released versions of Windows 11.  I have never heard of anything remotely like your issue either.  Taskbar buttons cannot leave the taskbar.

Due to how SIB works and how WB works, we do not support it with WB at this time as the two would conflict.
