Start 11 not working when start button is clicked after Win update

Ever since Windows update to 10.0.22621 Build 22621, Start 11 (build 1.47) will not start when the start button is clicked. If I use the keyboard button, Start 11 will fire up. I've adjusted the settings to only use Start 11 regardless of how you activate the start menu. I've also deleted and done a clean install. This usually will get it to work, but once the system reboots a few times, it happens again. Any thoughts?

Do you have now or ever have Explorer Patcher installed? This has been the cause of the same issue in two other posts. Windows updates break it and it then causes issues with Start11.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I can not reproduce your issue on my system. Have you tried the latest V1.47.3 Beta yet?

Should be available in your download produce page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products.

Just to be sure, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately after uninstall finished. Download and install latest version. Reboot again. Retest it and report back.

Thanks

No I haven't used Explorer Patcher. I'll try the 1.47.3 beta and see if it clears up.

Clean uninstall and installation of 1.47.3 beta, but the behavior still persists. Any ideas?

It sounds like some other software is interfering with Start11. Open the Task Manager and select Processes. Scroll through the list and see if anything pops out at you that might be affecting the taskbar.

Check for these:

  1. RainbowTaskbar
  2. ExplorerPatcher
  3. RoundedTB
  4. 7+ Taskbar Tweaker
  5. NiceTaskbar
  6. TaskbarX

None of those applications are installed or running on this system.

What's the full build number? Use winver.exe or copy from the Windows settings System>About page.

Should be 22621.xxxx
