Start 11 v2.0

Bugs with Pinned Taskbar shortcuts to secondary monitiors

I upgraded from v1.47 mainly for this addition, I have multiple monitors and love to open an app by just clicking on the taskbar on the pinned icon instead of moving to the primary monitor. But it DOES NOT WORK.

If I want an app pinned on all displays it does not show. It only shows if I choose "Secondary Display only". But I want the pins I use often on all displays, primary included. Also the jumplists and right click do NOT work, right click does nothing when I click on the pinned shortcut on  the secondary display.

Also the pinned files are only available on the primary taskbar (thought I could pin an Excel file on another taskbar and open in this way Excel

Do you have windows set to only show buttons for a given app on the monitor it is open on?

Pinned files should be treated the same as any other pinned item.

I re-confirm this bug. I have windows set to show only on the monitor where the app is open, otherwise I have a useless mirroring of the primary taskbar on all the monitors. I would like to pin for instance Excel, Word and Firefox on all secondary displays as well as on the primary. Only the option to show on the secondary works. But I want the option to have it on all displays this does not work. Since the only the secondary works, this is obviously a bug. When I have them pinned only the secondary, there are no jumplists with right click. Again this is suboptimal. The ideal is I want to right click on the 4th monitor on the Word pin and open the X file immediately. Now I have to open Word on the primary taskbar with right click on the pinned file in the jumplist and move to window to the monitor.

So 3 bugs:

-Pinned taskbar shortcuts not working on all displays, only on secondary

-No jumplists on the pins on the secondary displays

-A pinned file through the option taskbar pins-pin file gets pinned at the primary taskbar but does not show in the menu to allow the possibility to pin it to another display taskbar.

Although this option enticed me to upgrade, it is really still in a very early beta stage. I miss the Displayfusion multimonitor taskbars, but they were buggy, resource hungry, not compatible with Windows 11 design and not compatible with virtual desktops.I thought that with this option Start11 will approach the functionality, but not at all... yet.

Let me know when you start correcting-improving the above mentioned problems

We shall investigate this with that setting enabled.

Hi, did you have time to investigate? You are 3 beta versions further, but no news on this issue. It was this functionality that convinced me to pay for the upgrade in the first place.

Windows 10, Windowblinds 11.02 (017 - Windows 10 Edition), Start 11 v2.03

Start 11 is set as 'Windows 7 style' and displaying the WB skin I'm currently using as expected. However...

-- Missing start button on my primary monitor, showing on my secondary monitor.

Anyone else have this?

Thanks

No news, no answer, I am starting getting upset with the lack of follow-up. As I explained to my initial post, pinning apps in all taskbars was one or actually the PRIMARY reason I paid to upgrade to V2. Please let me know if you are doing something about it. I installed today the v2.03 of the beta but nothing has be done for this issue.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I believe Neil himself, Head of Start11 Dev, did mentioned that they will investigate further on it. We do hope to have your patience on it. Not sure why this was post on DesktopX bug reports. Moved to StartMenu.

Thank you.

Everything seems to be resolved with the latest beta version. I have checked on one extra monitor because I am travelling now, didn't have the opportunity to verify with multiple monitors, will let you know. A big thanks for taking care of it. Amazing functionality.
