Opening Recent Files goes to a non-existeant user "Neil"

Click on Start 11 orb.

Right click on Recent Files.

Click on Open.

File Explorer goes to "C:\Users\Neil\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent"

which is of course empty because there is no user Neil.

Anyone else have something similar happen or is my computer possessed?

Any recommendations for resolution?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Try, rebooting and Please check if you have recent items turn "on". If its is "off" please turn it on.

Thanks

My system is correctly configured as shown above.

The anomaly occurs only with Version 2.

Downgrading to the previous version solves the problem (except the Recent Files are in alpha sort not date sort).

If you still have not tried Start11 V2.01 beta. Please try it and report back.

I use my computer for work and can't afford to be an unpaid beta tester.

Your products have always been rock-solid but the latest version has me reconsidering.

The previous version also has the mysterious "Neal" user but at least the Recent Files works (sorta - it's in alpha sort not date sort).

Maybe you can wait and try when it move to release version.

That's a great part of my dissatisfaction: I paid for something I thought WAS a release version!

Your web site is suggesting everyone upgrade.

Upgrade to a beta version?

Having looked at this I believe this may have been an issue since the very first Start8 version actually.

We will get it sorted for the next update.

Basj means when the beta moves to release version.  Start11 v2.0 is a release version, but 2.01 is a beta.

Thank you for your prompt and courteous reply.

I agree since I started with you on Ver. 8.

However, none of the previous versions had the issue 11 ver 2.0 has or we or our clients would have noticed it.

Hope the date sort (versus the current alpha sort) will also be part of the fix.

I suspect you didn't notice before because you never had the need to right click and open on that because it was sorting the recent docs as you expected.  This should be addressed for the next beta (after the one thats currently on the site)

The beta 2.01 should already address the sorting issue.
