Desklets by AndreasV

AndreasV has made a rockin new program. It is like a mixture of desktopx and objectdock. Right now it allows for the use of objectdock plugins (most of which were made by Andreas). He is in the process of finishing it: it is still in beta. Here is a screenshot of it in action:

All of the 5 shown are found here at wincustomize and work perfectly. Not seen is the mounteddrive desklet. Its explained below.

I am not sure if he wants traffic to his site where you can get the beta so I haven't included the link. I will if he doesn't mind.

Its not finished yet so it still lacks some of the functionality. But here is a list of what it can do. All of the desklets can be positioned at any point on the screen and at any size. They are independent of each other. He also has a sample docklet that displays when a drive has been mounted. For instance it will only appear when you have inserted a cd. I can't wait for this to be finished. Bravo to Andreas

And I hope you don't mind me posting this here Andreas

I would love to see a desklet/docklet similar to KKMenu but easier to configure and independent of the png's of the Object Dock folder (possibility to browse for graphic - The only thing I cannot stand in Object Dock is that the graphics have to be in the programs folder and nowhere else). AVMenu perhaps ?

To anyone who is interested:

I have made a new, simple desklet to test out my SDK:

Time Desklet
screenshot:
download: [ http://mpj.tomaatnet.nl/Time.zip ]

Best to use options like:
Style: Always on top
Label is only visible on mouse over
Dropshadow enabled (with graytint 100%).

It looks best if you position it under your taskbar (if it is on top of the screen) or at the top of your screen.

Currently, there is no configuration for the font, label etc, but I will change that soon (hey, it is friday ).

Unzip it to your desklets folder

I've had this program ever since the day before yesterday. I now have many "desklets" on my desktop including your absolute genius Av3 player docklet (now desklet)
Ave and I go way back, don't we, Ave!
btw "You've Got Mail!" (or rather an instant message)

c242, Andreas (The genius that he is) has also made a rather brilliant Start Menu docklet that I found a sufficient replacement for the shareware KK Menu. (If you just want to access your start menu from the docklet). I haven't used my taskbar in possibly ages because of the docklets Ave has created!
