Icons bunching together / overlapping

On reboots, Fences works fine, with icons correctly spaced apart.  The problem is when then get bunched up, overlapping each other.

The picture displays the issues.  This seems to happen most often when the computer comes back from sleep mode.   Using a LG OLED C2 (OLED42C2PUA) via HDMI.

Reboots fix it.  Tried many different Fences settings - Layout & Snapping - On resolution changes.  Nothing seems to work.

Restoring layout snapshots sometimes (very rarely) resolves until the problem comes back.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Do you do Windows Scaling change often? This usually happen when you change Windows scale (100%, 150%, 200%) or changing screen resolution when playing games etc. Try restarting Explorer.exe. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=How+to+restart+Explorer.exe

Thanks for the response.  I only play games in 4k.  The monitor is set with a higher windows scale, but that is static and doesn't change.

Once the issue happen and you tried the Explorer.exe restart steps. Does the issue goes away?

Hi - restarting explorer.exe does temporarily resolve the problem.  But it comes back when the PC sleeps and wakes up.

Any configuration changes to try?

Look like your monitor or your Windows change it scale when your monitor/system go to sleeps. Causing the icons not resizing back properly. Try looking on your Windows system. Other than that, you can create a batch file to restart explorer.exe every time your PC wake from sleep. I, for what ever reason now have one restart batch file attached to my keyboard macro key, which I can easily press when I need it.

Thanks, I've created a batch file and will continue to research now that it seems to be more of Windows issue.  Will post if I figure it out definitely.

I have same problem - came back this morning, system rebooted itself (installed an update) - icons overlapping. Had thisbefore, had to uninstall/reinstall Fences to get it to work. I dont change scaling at all on this Surface Pro laptop.

Did reinstalling Fences work for you or did the problem come back?

My system is a new upgrade, so it's a recent Fences install.   It replaced a system that worked fine, on the same monitor. That though was Fences 3.  New one is 4.
