Icons hidden behind / covered by fence

Fences currently allows icons to be behind the fence, thus hiding the icon. They can be either partially hidden (screen screen shot below) or entirely covered by the fence (can't really screen shot ; ) ). How do we stop this from happening? I move them, reboot, and they get moved around and sometimes hidden again. Quite frustrating. Anyway to tell Fences to not allow an icon behind a fence?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. You can create a Fence and set a Fences rule to it, so that all new icons automatically move into that Fence. This will stop them from going behind any Fences.

Thanks

I think the problem is I don't want all my icons in fences. I like some temp files (may hang around for a few days before I move or delete them) just on the windows desktop while icons I keep permanently around are in different fences. It sounds like fences works best if all icons are in a fence. Too bad. May not work for me. Thanks for the info.

It is the auto arrange and/or align grid setting (both are windows settings), if you have this turned off you can even place regular icons on top of each other
