Guessing it must be installed on OS disk? My works laptop is locked down and I cannot install it.
Is there any other way possible to have it running?
There is currently no other than the default installation location. Your only option would be to get permission from your employer's IT admin.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. No, from what I know there is no portable version of Groupy. So it must be install to run.
