how i ended up at wincustomize...

at the beginning of this year i was new to skinning...i started out w/stylexp because wb appeared to be too technical at that time...i soon became bored with the variety and aggravated with the lack of support...stardock/windowblinds brings it all together for me...a world of talent...mature (mostly) discussion... a great community !

For me...

About a year ago, a friend told be about Trillian (the chat proggy)...I went to their website, downloaded it and came across a certain 'skin' called "Seti". It said it was ported from a 'Windowblind'. At the time, I had no idea what a 'Windowblind' was, but they must be cool since this skin was so neat. Did a search for 'Windowblind' and ended up here... Havent left since.

I got here in the search for a dock for Windows. First I used Y'z (still do), but now I use ObjectDock over Y'z. It was just a matter of time before I started doing stuff for this community. After all I've downloaded from here I'd better upload some too! It's turned into my favorite hobby in no time...think I'll stick to here until I die...

It started with LiteStep for me and I saw all these great WindowBlinds skins. Which brought me to Skinz.org. Then by accident I got lost for a couple of years in Stardock's newsgroups. People started writing about WC there. When I found my way out there it turned out I was trapped in WC. Brad is refusing to give me the key. He mumbles something about plugins and stuff.

Did a Google search for 'wallpaper'. I was just looking for a wallpaper that was...different, you know, something with some charicter, errr characther, uh, personality.

Started looking around and thought 'this is sooo cool'. Thus, like the rest of you good, but slightly insane people, I've been stuck here since. I get my subscription on Friday. Hoo-rah!
