I am having this same trouble too

My version is 4.21 & I am running Windoze 10

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

I did everything as you asked & what you linked, but I still have ht e same problem.

When I open Objects Desktop, it always says there 'update'.

Still wants to 'update'

It is known that Object Desktop manager currently have issue. Please do not use or ignore Object Desktop manager update notice. You can disable Object Desktop update check to stop the update notice from popping up.

From what I know, The Dev and Support team are working on it. As for disable update check in ODM please refer screenshot below.
