Icons/foilders cannot be added

OneDrive already has them in Desktop

Hi.

  I have an issue with Fences 4; OneDrive sysncs my Desktop and. if I must reinstall Fences every time I try to add an icon/folder/whatever to a fence is says 'This already exists'. Now, I understand why; Fences is new and doesn't know what a fence showld hold but if I, say,. Drag the Fences icon from desktop to the relevant fence I get a duplicate file error.

Is is possible to conmfigure where fences keeps its metadata to be somewhere else from Desktop? That would be very convinient and save conflicts. If is could also be donme under a cloud backup (with a different name obviously) that would be great and you'f think onmvious, too. Please, can I change where fence items are stored? All my fences are empty (after reinstall, and I cannot add anything to them without 'you are copyinga file onto itsel;f' warnings.

Please advise;

Jeremy

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. From what I know, Fences can not work with OneDrive Sync turn on. Please refer here: https://forums.stardock.com/501085/get;3785366

Thanks for the reply, Nasj.

#  I colved the issue by making my logon account local (admin, no OndDrive), deleting the old user completely and lost loading OneDrive as a folder somewhere outside fences. This does mean I loose the auto-backup to OneDrive but does allow me to make my own backup arrangements. I also mount GoogleDrive on my G: drive, for similar reasonms. Then I can choose what to backupo when amd where.

Cheers;
