Fences 3 Rename lot of folders issue and can't move file

Hi! 

I'm having a problem that sometimes when I create a folder with the name of 5-10 folders it overwrites the name of that folder, but it doesn't just do this for a folder, it does it for a plain .txt file. 

It's like when creating a new file it doesn't detect something in Fences 3 and so it rewrites the file names.

I didn't have this problem before this problem has been since I started using Fences 3.

I have had several windows reinstallations and they have not solved the problem so I think it is caused by Fences 3.

My other problem is that I can't move the folder, it could be a setting but I can't find it anywhere. 

So I have a folder and where it was created is where it is when I start to move it back to its original location.

 

PC specification: 

System: windows 10 pro 64 bit

Processor: 11th Intel Core i9-11900

VGA: RTX 3060 TI

Ram: 32 GB

Fences version: Fences 3 version 3.1.3.3

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, from your video, it does not look like it Fences has anything to do with it. To be sure, please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to re-download the latest available version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Also, as a note, Windows 10 evolved and updates itself often. It is best for you to move on to Fences V4 for better compatibilities

Hi! Thank you for your reply, I bought the latest Fences 4 and it still did not work to move files. I looked into what the problem could be and found that under the view tab in windows the auto arrange option was set, I had not set it before so it was strange to me why it was activated.

I deleted Fences, unchecked this option in windows and it worked. 

I installed Fences 4 and again it didn't work, so that means that Fences 4 automatically ticks this option in windows. 

I couldn't find a setting for it in the Fences 4 settings. 

Most likely the file name overwrites are also due to Fences, but I will now test with the latest version to see if the error occurs and report back.

At the moment I manually turn off the automatic arrange icons after installing Fences 4 so it works correctly.

Note: I have Hungarian on my Windows 10 and when I install Fences I right click on the desktop menu and it switches to English and this is probably where the automatic arrange icon is activated and the whole menu is replaced.
