Is it just me, or has the quality of Wallpapers dramatically decreased?

This site used to be the first site I visited if I wanted to get a really cool, good looking wallpaper to spruce up my desktop. Well, sadly it has become one of the last places I visit. I don't want the artists to take offense to anything I say (they probably will anyways), but it's just not the same anymore. It's the same cliched designs over and over. Ever since this site became more leniant in their filtering, it's been downhill. I'd like to hear your opinion.

Perhaps the well has become dry for now.. I think there are still some good wallpapers, but not as many. Most of them seem to be the same thing. Metallic shiny objects, WindowsXP related wallpapers, or Sunrise/Lake/Mountain wallpapers..

If I want a wallpaper bad enough, I'll search Google after Wincustomize.. I don't browse many sites, I'd browse DA, but they've yet to get their shit together and fix the glitches.

I dont like DA either, but lets keep the language down...

If you dig deep enough here, you can find lots of good stuff...Searching by rating or upload date is a good way to go...

Have to get back over there and put it on my best of lists

I've got so many things going on at one time right now I feel like a steam roller went over me and backed up to do it again.

Damn wax ring blew out on the toilet in my wifes bathroom toda so I got to spend my da pulling it, cleaning it up and installing a new one. But I also found that they had slapped it together when the house was made. Seems to pipe was not in the right place so the tooka chipping hammer and opened up wht hole to one side, cut the pipe, then weilded it back together in the ground but they had it out of plum and the bolt pattern was not square to the wall so I had to change all that also....

now my body is reminding me "HEY YOUR TORE UP" so *these suds are for you! hic~ *

EventH, sorry we have not gotten together on that nic yet. But I have narrowed my personal to do list down to only three things, but that does not include my "Honey Do List" my wife has and work...

Personal list: EventHorizon, Starone, GreenArmani

I have to go out with my wife tonight for dinner and a movie and spend some time with her before bed, but once she is in bed I'll be online...

No problem IP, I can wait...

I found some sites for the RAM upgrade on the laptop... The prices vary wildly (60 something to 160 something) for one stick of 256... Have to get your opinion on which would be best quality without throwing 'my' money away.

Sticks of ram are random, sometimes you get a good one sometimes you don't. The price can be misleading.

They did loosen up on the moderation of wall, I guess because of all the crying. I think 25% more make it through moderation now than would have 6 months ago.

i think a lot of the wallpaper makers of the past have moved on to skinning apps... theres a new bank of papermakers that are just starting to hit their stride. the newer submisions are getting better. (a kid with crayons has me beat) i believe we have yet to see the their greatest works ...

yeah... it would probably have made it if the pink was more arround the screen, like the whole screen filled with pink.
The 3ds max render with the after effecting in photoshop ruined it...

ok if the most used transparent color is pink.. then thatd mean wed beable to see the insides of our monitors?
