Issue with Fences 4

from Stardock Forums

I am using Stardock Fences 4 for sometime now, with pleasure.

However, lately something strange occurred: -  after a Norton AV trojan detection and clean, I needed to reboot my desktop PC (Windows 11) and when the PC started, the majority of the icons within my 3 Fences (Programs, Folders and Files&Documents) went out of the respective rectangles, moving to the left border of my screen and I had to re-place them again, one by one, into the choose rectangle Fence.

Can someone explain that and how to possibly prevent the repetition of the issue?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Have you tried restoring those layout with your saved layout snapshot?

Thank you Basj,

Your comment was very useful, because I didn't know that option to restore my Fences with a previous backup snapshot.

I don't have an explanation for the occurence, but luckily I have a good solution now!
