Thank you and look forward to the new version
The 1.4.02 has been updated to 1.4.0.3 today.
This is a bigger issue for tablet windows devices. Moments 2 has redesigned the taskbar so when going into tablet mode it completly breaks Start11.
Firstly, no ability to make the taskbar small or large anymore - my preference was the small size taskbar.
Secondly, once in tablet mode with the taskbar behaviour set to 'Optimise Taskbar for touch interactions...' within the Windows 11 Settings > Personalisation > Taskbar, all the Start11 settings for the Taskbar break - even after reverting back to non-tablet mode.
This seems like a big one..
You need to update to the beta of Start11.
Note that if you have optimised for touch enabled then you have an autohide taskbar and this will be larger and single line. This is expected and normal.
Not expected behaviour for me - and this is running the latest beta.
Once you drag the taskbar up from the touch enabled minimised mode, it should be the Start11 taskbar not the Windows 11 taskbar.
Also, reverting back to 'laptop' mode or non-tablet mode does not revert the taskbar back to the Start11 skin. It remains the default Windows 11 taskbar.
If you want all the controls of the Start11 taskbar you would need to disable the optimize for touch option. You are telling Windows you want that but it sounds like you do not?
I want the Start11 Taskbar. Asking Windows 11 to minimise it in Tablet mode is irrelevant. Once it is revealed again / dragged up from minimised to the actual taskbar, it shouldnt be the Windows 11 default taskbar it should be my Start11 configured taskbar. Always.
It will be bound by the Microsoft restrictions of tablet mode. Which is a taller taskbar which cannot be resized.
So moving forwards Start11 can only work fully on laptops and desktops. 2 in 1's, convertables and tablets it will only work under the right conditions i.e. not being used as a 2 in 1, convertable or tablet?
If this is the case it should come with a warning. This will only work 50% of the time.
I think we must be talking at cross purposes here?
When in tablet mode having enabled the optimize for touch option the following rules will apply :
1) When active the taskbar is enlarged and will have larger icons but are allowed to have non combined taskbar buttons (subject to space). This taskbar will be limited to a single row as it is an autohide taskbar.
2) When not active the taskbar will be collapsed to a small block line at the bottom of the screen.
3) The taskbar will be forced to the bottom of the screen.
Complaints about those would need to be directed to Microsoft.
When docked to a keyboard the rules relax and you can have multiple lines etc as usual as it does not autohide (unless you have also enabled autohide mode in the OS)
When you have not enabled optimize for touch you have control again however small and large icon modes require you to enable the enhance taskbar option in Start11 with the moment 2 update and you cannot use autohide or medium will be the only choice.

For me everything works fine.
After updating Start11 to v1.4.0.2-285 transparency is working in all parts of my Desktop.
Using Windowblinds 11.01 with Oren Blind from Basj and all is fine
This was never going to be easy without imagery.
Switching back to docked to a keyboard - some of the Stardock11 settings - like transparency - stop working.
It should be transparent, as per my personalisation settings in Stardock11:

But it is the accent colour, as based on Windows 11 settings for the Taskbar (brown):

Ive seen that issue before. Last time it happened was with the people using the insidet version of 22h2 and it was again caused by a more tablet friendly taskbar. That version was scrapped back then because too many people complained that it broke their third party software. Now it's back.
At least this time it can be disabled in the taskbar settings.
It is just one of those things that is going to break a lot of third party software with the way Microsoft designed it.
Disabling the taskbar setting doesn't resolve this issue.
You still lose the transparancy once it screen flips to portrait in tablet mode and doesn't revert back to transparent once the keyboard is reattached / switched back to laptop mode.
We cannot reproduce this here. Transparency remains as expected.
Are you using anything else on your computer which might alter the taskbar transparency?
Nothing else. I'm running a Dell Latitude 7320 detachable.
Screen in landscape mode keyboard attached - all good
Screen in landscape mode, keyboard detached - all good
Rotate screen to portrait mode, keyboard detached - taskbar loses transparency - reverts to Windows 11 personalisation setting colour
Restart Windows Explorer - Transparency returns
Rotate screen back to landscape mode, keyboard detached - taskbar loses transparency - reverts to Windows 11 personalisation setting colour
Screen in landscape mode, keyboard reattached - taskbar remains in Windows 11 personalisation setting colour
Restart Windows Exploer - Transparency returns.
When will windowblinds11 be updated?
It will be start 11 updates that should fix any problems with the moment 2 update not a windowblinds update. the current start 11 beta download under your "downloads" section fixes most peoples issues including mine. A few lingering bugs may have to wait for the next start 11 update
If you're asking with regard the WB11 taskbar transparency issue. It issue already logged internally. For now, you can change your display language to english, restart into English, do your transparency change, change back to Chinese Simplify, restart. retest.
