Double-clicking Fence title bar does not roll up fence
Hi,
I'm new to Fences 4. When I double-click a Fence's title bar, it doesn't roll up. It rolls up and down only if I dock the Fence to one of the screen edges. Is this normal, please?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. May I know you on Windows 10 or 11 and need to know it full version number. Use Winver.exe to get it.
Thanks

Hi Basj,
It's Microsoft Windows 11
Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.963)
It is not normal. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.
Thank you,

Hi Basj,
I tried the .bat script in the zip file you linked to, but my anti-virus software wouldn't entertain it. Saw it as a threat, "disinfected", and "quarantined" it.
So I tried a manual re-install, from a freshly downloaded installer. That didn't fix the anomaly either.
I've theorised that Fences probably heavily interacts programmatically with Windows File Explorer, and that this non-rolling-up anomaly may arise because I am running a File Explorer alternative -- the excellent Directory Opus ( https://www.gpsoft.com.au ) -- which intercepts most programmatic calls to File Explorer.
So I'll live with the "problem" of not having the roll-up facility unless the Fence sits at the edge of the desktop screen. Life's too short to spend hours trying to fix a minor problem that may possibly in any case result from using the File Explorer alternative.
Thank you for your help so far and I'll leave it here as an "open verdict" but otherwise closed case.
Actually, I just installed Directory Opus on my Windows 11 system and the roll up down still work on my system. Both normal Fence and Portal Fence roll up and down without issue.
About the purge batch file, it should be white list from your AV software. That batch script by Support should work without issue.
Still, it is up to you if you wish to press on to clear the issue.
Thank you,

Also, you could also test it out with Sandbox : https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#sandbox. Install Fence with Opus in there and see if it work in the Sandbox.

Hi Basj,
I've tried again with the same (seemingly abnormal) result.
All that happens when I double-click a Fence's title-bar is that a full-screen File-Explorer / Directory Opus view of my main folder opens. (I did previously have this folder as the target of a Fences Portal.)
If I reposition the Fence against a screen-edge, it rolls up and down as it should - not on double-click, but on mouse-over.
I'll manage without double-click roll-up.
Thanks again for your help,
Patrick
