Start11 + "Windows 10" style menu + multiple pages — Quick way to switch pages?

General usage question:

I have Start11 on Windows 10.  I'm using the Windows 10 style menu.  I'm leveraging the "multiple pages" feature so that I can have two pages of tiles.  Basically, one page is for productivity applications and one page is for games.  (You can right-click on an empty spot and select "Create new page" to add a second page of tiles.)

I'm looking to see if there is a quick way to switch between pages without having to click on the little white boxes at the bottom.

You can use the scroll wheel to switch pages, but that stops working if you have enough tiles to fill up a single "page" and you have to scroll to see them all.

I tried other "switch tab" shortcuts that I could think of but couldn't find any that work.

  • Ctrl + scroll wheel (or alt + scroll wheel, shift + scroll wheel)
  • Ctrl + tab
  • Ctrl (+ Shift) + PgUp/PgDn

Is there a keyboard shortcut or quick way to switch pages?  If not, would this be something you could consider implementing for a future update?

Thanks.

One way to solve this issue is to drag the top of the start menu until the scroll bar disappears. If your screen doesn't allow you to drag it far enough up, you will have to make the icons smaller in the configuration settings. Also, if you don't have "Show more tiles on start" selected, you could try that and see if you can arrange your tiles so that the scroll bar disappears.

Hello,
Have you try using the mouse scroll wheel while the pointer pointing at that little white oblong box? On my system that work for changing page.

Thanks

That works, thanks.  (Still hoping for a quick way that does not require me to move the mouse to a rather small target...)

As well as clicking on the page switch indicators you can use button 4/5 on your mouse if you have those on your mouse.

You can also wheel mouse when over the area with the page indicators (white blocks)

Finally, IF you have no scrollbar visible on a page then wheel mouse will swap pages instead.  If the page has a scrollbar this does not happen as the wheel controls the scrollbar instead.

Brilliant.  I do have the extra mouse buttons 4/5 that I never use.  Didn't even think to try them.  That will work.  Thanks so much for the tip.
