WindowsBlinds 11 and Start11 Running Together Causes Taskbar Issues

I had had programs closed when minimized to taskbar when both WindowBlinds 11 and Start11 configure the taskbar.

Fix is to let Start11 configure the taskbar and set WindowBlinds 11 to default.  This software conflict issue should be addressed by Stardock programmers.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I don't see this issue on my system. So I need more information to try to reproduce it.

  1. You on Windows 10 or 11? Also need your full version number. Use Winver.exe to get that number.
  2. You on Windowblinds 11 version?
  3. You on Start11 version?
  4. And can you elaborate more on this one "Fix is to let Start11 configure the taskbar and set WindowBlinds 11 to default."

I do not quite understand your issue,

When you say apps close when you minimize them, this shouldn't be anything to do with the taskbar itself.  The taskbar purely represents what apps are running, the painting of it wouldn't make apps close.

Configuration

1. Windows 10 version 22H2

2. Windowblinds 11 beta

3. Start11 v1.31

Apps effected: One Calendar and Sticky Notes

Each app closed when minimized

Setting:  Windowblinds 11 beta is set to Acrylic 7, Start11 set to center aligned

Solution: Windowblinds 11 beta is set to default, Start11 set to center aligned

Hopefully this helps to clarify on what I experienced.

The apps closing issue has been resolved.

The Object Desktop update of Windowblinds 11 beta 3 has an issue. 

I've opened and closed Object Desktop several time with the same message.

To resolve your issue, you should go to your account page and manually download latest versions of Windowblinds 11 & Start 11 [Link]

Click on "View Individual Downloads" to access links to the desired installers.

Thanks.  I will use this location to manually download any future updates if an issue occurs on the Object Desktop.
