Hovering over open application shows small window in wrong place

If you turn "Use custom start button image" off everything works fine

If you turn it on (with dual monitors) and you have applications open. If you hover the mouse over the taskbar so you see the small window pop-up above it the window will instead show up all the way to the left instead of right above it.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information on your system and issue.

  1. Need to know you on Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version number, please. Use Winver.exe.
  2. Start10 or 11? and its version number too.

Thanks

Windows 11, latest version I always keep up to date on all the patches

Start 11, latest version

Just test it and you will see. I have 3 different computers and it happens on all of them when I use dual monitors.

I can not reproduce your issue. Here is what I get. What is your Windows 11 full version number? You on Beta or Insider preview version? In the screenshot below, my mouse over the "Winver.exe" button.

Sorry for the delayed response, it is very hard to find old posts with the design of these forums.

You will see in one screenshot the menu opens in the correct place and the other (which is monitor 2) the start menu opens up in monitor 2 but the custom folder added to it opens in monitor 1.

Attached are two screenshots. One with opening the menu in each monitor.

Anything on this? Their are lots of people that use dual monitors and this is specific to that. I have 3 PCs that are on dual monitors and all of them have this issue.

Sorry for the delayed response, I am updated to 1.47 and the issue is still their. Use a custom menu folder and add that to it, in my  earlier screenshot you can see I created that folder.

This was fixed in V2 so had to pay for the fix.

I purchased it but not happy that it was not fixed with V1.

I think it got fixed as a side effect of the menus being changed to an entirely different system.
