Automatic "check for update" Crashed my game.

Playing a game that i didn't save for quite some time. Start 11. decides to do an Update check MY OWN FAULT FOR ALLOWING THE SOFTWARE TO DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Crashes my game.  lose hours of work.

On top of that. .WHY WHEN IT UPDATES DO I HAVE TO REFKNBOOT MY COMPUTER????????

DONE with this bull*** software. Stardock makes cool stuff but your programmers are FKN IDIOTS!!!!!! They OBVIOUSLY are not gamers AT ALL.

Not sure if you guys got the memo. but computers are mainly gaming machines. Aside from Corporate business computers. but how many companies are going to install a 3rd party software to make productivity better? ABSOLUTELY NONE!!!!!!

have a nice day.

Can I ask what game you were running so we can investigate further please?

I am sorry you experienced an issue as it shouldn't do that though it would be wise to also send a bug report to the game developer too as loss of focus should not cause the game to crash either.

Updates are required to reboot your computer because the files for the app are in use at the time.  Windows continues to have a design flaw where sometimes a process will 'hold onto' a file that was loaded but no longer is.  This stops us being able to swap out the files without a reboot I am afraid.  Kind of like how a Windows update requires a reboot.
