Quick-hide is not working

Quick-hide is not working. I can check and uncheck the option, but that does not change anything. Before I updated a day or two ago, everything worked fine. Now when I double-click blank areas of the desktop, the icons remain visible.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please check if you have un-select Show desktop icons.

If that don't work.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Your suggestion is impossible. Literally, the check-mark remains no matter for many times I click. I will try the other steps now...

I had to rebuild my entire desktop. :(

Upside, the purge/reinstall has restored functionality.
