How can I make this wallpaper better?

How can I make this wallpaper better?

Hi, I'm looking for some general feedback on my wallpaper. I created it about a week ago, and submitted it soon thereafter. Sadly, it was rejected, despite my high hopes. No offence intended to the fine folks running wincustomize - they have to go through a lot of wallpapers, and I understand, only the best will do.

So how can I make my wallpaper more... submittable, as it were?

Don't bother sparing my feelings; just give me the straight poop! Thanks in advance, to anyone who replies.

Oh, right, and here's the link: http://inkart.homestead.com/files/Trickle_Down.bmp

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound terse there. I'm just glad to have the fact of my... inexperience, laid out so plainly.

Now I know what to work on.

JM_Zen everyone has to start at some point

You don't suck, you are just starting to build a foundation is all, and taking your time and learning the skills and the things that work best for you with repetition and such will lend to creating a solid foundation.

really really

oh... something that always that was said to me many times growing up

: can't never did and quit never will :

stick with it, you've a desire or you wouldn't have started and you pretty much show in this thread
that your not flippant about learning

Online Tutorials, Magazines, Books, paper, pens and pencils, computer paint programs, editing software

paxx has the right of it I am thinking also

JM_Zen, I like it. Simple, unobtrusive and functional (although I'm partial to grays). It is, after all, a wallpaper that may spend a lot of its time obscured by other windows (if you're anything like me ). By all means, keep working at bettering your skills, but keep in mind that you should create what YOU like. I'm sure your work will improve and before you know it you'll be bragging in the 500,000 downloads thread

Great start!
