First of all we are #13 :CONGRAT: with 15 members LOL !!Okay members of the Terran Federation we need to decide on a flag. Right now it is the symbol from the game, but I need some input. What do you want our flag to be?

I really like the symbol from the game!

But how you came to the conclusion that we have 15 members? When I click on our Empire it only lists 5 and one of them hasn't yet submitted a single game.

Five members, but in easy striking distance of the number 12 spot. Get your act together and give me some clues to your nature, because it looks like the Spymaster is going to be profiling you sooner than I thought. Show me what you got! :)

sorry i meant 5 members lol I don't know what I was thinking, but Gerakken what do you mean by clues of our nature. We're human so you can't expect anything :)

Well, I have this misguided goal of giving all the major empires some personality or augmenting the personality already in place in some way. When the Major Empires project really gets rolling, I will eventually have the top 10 empires profiled. To help me in that goal, I look to see if your empire is actively promoting a specific theme or philosophy. Then I read what the members have been saying when it comes to their empire. Then some third party input and a little imagination fill out the rest.

I know you folks are at #12 right now and not yet in the top 10, but my other goal is to help nurture any up and coming empires in whatever devious ways I can think of, but only as far as they want me to meddle. So take some time to think of who you are and what you stand for. Or not. There is nothing wrong with deciding to be a bunch of fun loving folks who have no theme or agenda.

Gerrakkin's goal is to fatten you up for the slaughter. Now build us an empire worthy of plundering. And have your beer tribute ready at the appointed time.

LOL thanks for summarizing Pontius I understand now LOL

But don't think cuz we're small we will be easily defeated

Sarcasto,
I e-mailed you a picture of the symbol, let me know what you think. There are a couple of themes we could do with it.

any image editing software can do it.

Under Win 2000 you should have a program call Windows Imaging or Imaging for Windows. It's under Accessories unless you removed it in a custom install. If you have Win XP you should have it, too. If you have anything earlier, grab some free imaging software off the net. If you have a Mac, they should all come with imaging software.

Anyways, once you have your imaging software, open up your picture, and SAVE AS in JPG format. And Done!

Some formats that probably won't be convertable: PS and EPS.
Use more encompassing imaging software for these. I think Photoshop should be able to open these, but I haven't used the program for a long time so I don't remember.

Do you know how to resize an image because the jpg version is to big

If you are using Imaging for Windows, it's under Page->Properties in the Resolution tab (smaller res=smaller image). If you are using anything else, it's either tweeking the resolution or resizing.

For JPG both processes do the same thing.

That should solve everything I hope!

I have windows 98 so where would I find Imaging for Windows
Reply #21 Top
Do you have an imaging software on hand? If you do, be sure to name it before asking for more help. It will allow me to give you direct directions, but this should answer all your questions.

Windows 98 doesn't have Imaging for Windows unless they added it in the later service packs. If you still need an imaging software I would suggest LView, get it from CNET: http://download.com.com/3000-2192-10141720.html .

In LView you can resize by Image->Resize and then enter all the ratios you want.

Other software will have something similiar, if not exactly the same thing. Check out all the pull down menus, and look for Resize.

Ok i resized it and it says the new image has been succesfully uploaded, but it still shows the old flag. I don't get this at all

It's there. I see a new blue crosshair icon for Terran.
Clear your browser cache.

This is a perfect icon for all of the other empires to do their target practice.

lol thanks Ray Chua but it finally did come up. Try to hit it if you can, but just remember this...one day you will be saluting that flag when your council gets conquered by the Federation's Fleets as long as I give you amnesty.
So hah think about that ;)

But right now I'll go back to my little corner planning my attack >:(
watching forever watching for you to make a mistake LOL

There is room at the Top10 space.

The Gamma Squad and the Spiders look shaky and it would be worthwhile for you to focus your phasor fire on them first.
