Cannot create Folder or Folder Portals after Fences 3 Upgrade to Fences 4

I have been using Windows 10H2 Build 19044.1766 with latest patches with Fences 3.

It had been working fine and stable for a long time.

I upgraded from Fences 3 to Fences 4 today

 

Now I cannot:

1) Create new Folders or Folder Portals - when the option is selected via right mouse drag. Nothing happens.

2) Execute items in an existing folder portal. Nothing happens

3) However, I can execute items in my existing normal folders.

Has any one experienced a similar symptoms after an upgrade ?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please check if you have not lock your Fences. If you do, please unlock it and try again.

Thanks for the quick Post.

Lock Fences was not selected so I selected it and then de-selected to if it cleared it.

However, I have the same issue.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Do you know if the purge script will delete my folder and folder portal settings ?

i.e Will I have to manually recreate all by folders and folder portals ?

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Are your portal settings from what dives like one drive or ?

A Purge is different than a regular uninstall so you should be OK ....

Thanks for the backup location.

All my settings are local and not on external cloud drive.

I will proceed.
