Creating Folder Portals

Folder Portals Not Staying In Place Upon Computer Restart

I have the latest version of Fences. I can not reinstall FENCES as I do not have time to start all over with all the organization.

Creating a new folder portals on my desktop works fine, but after restarting the computer it does not stay in place. It disappears like as if I never created it. Even after taking new snapshots of the new layout. It does not allow new Folder Portals to stay in place.

Unfortunately I am not in a position to reinstall everything every time this product crashes, especially since it crashes often. It's a huge waist of time especially when you have many fences organized just right.

I'd be grateful for any help with this issue. Thank you. :hugme:  :hugme:  :hugme:

Sorry to hear you are having issues. May I know.

  1. You on Windows 10 or 11? And also I need to know your Windows full version numbers please. Use Winver.exe to get those.
  2. Your Fences version please.

Please  download the latest Fences version : https://forums.stardock.com/512519. Try that version and report back.

How do I set the Classic folder portal view to be the default view for all folders. It is incredibly difficult having to constantly change the folder view every time I open a new folder. I need the Classic view to stay as a default, and not have to keep setting it at each folder level ...

It believe this features is not yet available in Fences.
