How to make the taskbar items on the right better visible? (now black on darkblue)

Start11
On my desktop the taskbar items (on the right hand bottom) show up like this:

On my laptop, also Start11 with taskbar colour RGB: 0,35,66 the items are black (solid)

So, like this

Maybe it is easy, but I vainly searched how to have them, let's say, standout/visible, similar to my desktop taskbar (also Start11).
Trying to accomplish the same as my desktop taskbar.

Thanks!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Try to change your Theme color from light to dark. I assume you on Windows 10. Right click on desktop-> Personalize->Colors->Click on "Choose you color" drop down box.->Select Dark.

Thanks

Thanks. That might be a solution.
However...
I don't like 'Dark mode', sorry.
On my desktop PC I don't have dark mode set either.
But... I admit, that is good old Windows 10.

Probably in Windows 11 it becomes a bit more difficult.
One has to spend a lot of time on searching.
(Just as an example: Windows 10, :Never combine taskbar buttons" can't find in taskbar settings of Window11 and a "Taskbar>Search" for Combine taskbar - no hits)

I can make the buttons visible when selecting Start11 configuration > Taskbar > Use automatic colour for the taskbar.
Taskbar is grey then.

Just a short question:  do you think this will be solved some day?

Meaning to say the laptop taskbar to be identical to the PC taskbar, i.e. the program icons on laptop taskbar to have their own actual  colours (green, yellow, red, etc.) instead of being black. Date-Time to show up with white font, instead of black.

Thanks!

If you want a dark taskbar then you need to set in Windows setting to have light apps and dark taskbar.  This is not the same as dark mode.  The drop down for light/dark mode should have a custom entry too which lets you pick the mode you want.
