It's broken again.  There must be something wrong.  Same issue, still working on second monitor, not working on primary.  Not sure how long it takes before it happens, but has happen now 2 more times since the initial report.

also...  restart explorer from Start11 settings will fix it, will try and determine if it takes x amount of time.

What do you mean by icon previews exactly?

On the task bar, the running programs, when you hover over them they show the little preview window over the icon of the program's screen/video etc.

What version of Windows 11 are you using?

This is still broken 1.24.  Only on the main monitor, it doesn't seem to happen on the second.  The preview thumbnail of the running programs screen doesn't show when hovering the icon on the taskbar.  It starts of working, after a reboot or a restart of explorer through Start11.  But at somepoint the function disappears again.

Thanks,

Same exact issue here. I didn't even notice it worked on my second monitor.

Rebooting fixes the issue for a bit, but the bug returns a few hours later. Maybe on a sleep cycle?

I have this issue too. It happens on both my work desktop and my home desktop. Both Win11 with Start11.

A reboot seems to always fix it. After a reboot, it will work fine for an undetermined amount of time, but eventually I'll stop seeing the thumbnail previews of my multiple open but grouped windows on the primary monitor.

This happens often, and while it is behaving oddly, I can not see the previews for the windows on my primary monitor. I can hover over the taskbar icon on my secondary display and see previews of the various Chrome or FireFox or Explorer windows while they're on the secondary displays.  If take said windows from secondary monitor (where I can see the thumbnail previews) and drag them over to my primary monitor, then I can no longer get the thumbnail preview. If I drag it back over to a secondary monitor then I can see the see the thumbnail preview again.

If I reboot, I'll be able to see the thumbnail preview on the primary monitor again for some number of whiles but then it go weird again within a day or two.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Does the issue goes away if you just restart Explorer.exe? https://www.howtogeek.com/198815/use-this-secret-trick-to-close-and-restart-explorer.exe-in-windows/

Thanks
