News.........What is News????

which I would have to agree is not very interesting. I would be interested in seeing the original source, however, if for no other reason than to see why you're so upset.

If I remember correctly...Leo made a news item letting people know about FOOOD's new XP Flag wallpapers...found here. http://www.foood.net/icons/xp-flags.htm It now appears that that news item has since been removed...which is why Leo is upset. My personal opinion...new wallpapers doesn't constitute news...but you had good intentions Leo. I still like ya!

Nevermind, I thought that as a lot of people enjoyed his iCandy Junior icons that they might like to know about his series of XP flag wallpapers and icons that he has just released. Just trying to let people know thats all.

Still i will shut up.......just a shame that you people could not see an arogant comment made by one of Skinnings so called 'elite'......someone whose work i have the utmost respect for.

But as i say, Nevermind, it would have generated far more interest than say - an update to a third party programme or something else but i shall not bother in future

Foood's work is excellent to say the least...The 'Walls' I agree, might not be considered as newsworthy to some, I dunno.

I didn't see the arrogant comment, probably just jealous of Foood's fine work

My pleasure Zodiaq...Cha's work is fantastic. I got involved with others giving Cha feedback when he was making RC5 and it was great fun and i learnt a lot from a real master.

If it was about a non-member's wallpapers then I could understand its removal.

Wincustomize is about skins and skinning in particular, so news really needs to be more closely related to that, or at least be relevant [that is, about a site member]...

Well its about a new series of wallpapers and icons so i guess that is relevant.It was you or Brad who asked me to do the News item on FOOOD's iCandy Junior icons a couple of weeks ago which was posted - so now i am really confused.

Leo...I didn't see the news item...but there is a discernable difference between 'skinning' such as icon packages, and wallpapers....

OK, Boss....we seem to be splitting hairs but i would like to know the exactly why the item has been removed so i know for the future as i do not want to waste my time or yours. Someone has kindly agreed to look into it for me.

BTW - hope your upgrade is going well - you will be the owner of a real flying machine when you have finished.

I personally really like Foood's icons.

However, if every top author had a news item every time they released something it would be a disaster. Particularly when those items aren't even available here from the author necessarily.

Every time Pixtudio or The Skins Factory or heck myself upload something new, we don't create news items for it. We let a couple of Food news items up to help him get more press but I think at this point he's become established enough that he doesn't really need publicity every time he does something.
