How do I move icons in Fences 4?

I upgraded from Fences 3 to Fences 4 yesterday, and now I can't seem to move any icons from one fence to another, or even to a new position within a fence.  I can drag icons and the move, but as soon as I drop them in a new location, they go right back to where they were.

I assume I'm missing some new setting, but I looked and can't find anything that would seem to cause this behavior.  I tried unlocking the feces, but just like with Fences 3, that only allows me to move and resize my fences (which I don't want to do).  The icons are still stuck where they were.

What am I missing?

I'm using Fences 4.0.0.3 in Windows 10 Pro (x64), build 19044.1645

Right click on your desktop to View

scroll down to Lock Fences and un check

If checked now you can move and or delete.

Check again to lock into place.

Unfortunately, that's not it. As I said, unlocking the fences allows me to move or resize fences, as it always has, but I still can't move any of the icons around (from one fence to another, or re-order icons within a fence).

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Thank you,

Thanks for the help, Basj.  I've been utterly swamped in the latter half of this week, and before I got a chance to follow these instructions, Fences somehow cleared out its own error, and now it's allowing me to move icons as it normally would! I may try purging and reinstalling anyhow, just in case there are any other hidden corruptions in the setup that remain.
