where on earth does multiplicity save its settings?

I've exported and imported the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\Multiplicity2 registry key.  I've checked programdata.  ive checked appdata/roaming and appdata/local.   I've got nothin.

I'm trying to keep this backed up so I dont have to reconfigure every time i re-install but for the first time, i'm stumped.   Are you guys like saving it in some kind of obfuscated file in the program files directory or something?

Settings are stored in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE as Multiplicity even works when you are not logged in.

Be aware you cannot transfer passcodes from one computer to another.  They are per machine encrypted for security reasons.

You know.. there’s times where even a facepalm doesn’t cut it. Burning the candle at both ends lately I guess.

I shoulda known better lol.  I apologize.  At least it’s here for future settings seekers I suppose.

I assume the same key is used for all stardock software settings? Groupy/fences/start11 etc?  HKLM not HKCU?

Almost all stardock software uses current user. Only multiplicity uses local machine.

Lol glad I asked then.  I have a robocopy script I’ve used to back up various things since about ever.  Never tried to use the multiplicity bit until now which led me to this post.  Seems I can refrain from editing the others then.

thanks for the quick replies!
