Logon Studio Update????

I may be totally wrong so please feel free to correct me but i thought i saw somewhere recently that there are no plans to update Logon Studio?

If this is the case would it be possible to reconsider the case as it appears likely that we are going to be going down the road of having boot screens so why not improve Logon Studio as well?

I must say i like Logon Studio - it is a fantastic little programme to add another little bit of customization to feast your eyes, especiaaly if you have got a suite of skins and want to add that last little touch with a logon screen.

Can someone tell me what the official position is and also how does everyone else feel about this

What requires updating? Personally I like it how it is and can't think of anything that its missing.

Hmm What requires updating?

How about the fact that if you choose to have random skins the program crashes your system? The only to get rid of the constant crashing is to take the program out of msconfig and thereby losing the ability to have random skins.

But, don't misunderstand me. LS is a very good program and some very nice skins have been created for it. A update to address certain errors would be nice though.

It would be great to have png and jpg support. Plus gifs so we could use animation and maybe sound too. IMHO.

I'd love it, if I could just use random skins without crashing windows and the program. But, it does work without the random setting and its free, so I guess I really can't complain.

It will be interesting to see what the new Boot Screen program by Stardock will do, in comparison to LS.

Odd you say that random doesn't work for you. I have it set to random logons and never have a problem.
I do agree that support for other formats including animation or sound would be a nice addition.

Listen to Koasati. It's pretty safe to say that there will be no more updates of LS. Unless Stardock decides to remake the code from scratch, which I doubt.
