Taskbar icons move to right after changing monitors

When I connect or disconnect my laptop from an external monitor (change display and resolution) the taskbar icons are shifted to the right and some icons are out of sight. Re-running Start11 does force a refresh and the icons appear normally in the center.

Any ideas how to fix this? I also used to get the same problem with TaskbarX.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? And its full version numbers. Please use Winver.exe to get those.
  2. Start11 version numbers.
  3. If you restart "Explorer.exe" after changing the monitors. Does the issue goes away. You can create a simple batch script to do that : Something like mention here : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-restart-explorerexe-fix-common-ui-problems-windows-10

Thanks

I get the same issue, taskbar button just go away even after restarting explorer. only reboot fixes the issue, (sign out logout ) do not.

alternatively have to disable the "Let Start11 enhance the taskbar" option to get icons to come back.

only happens when in software disabling a monitor and changing primary monitor

Please uninstall V1.2, reboot and reinstall V1.22 Beta and see if the problem still there. Get the latest beta from your account product page.

Thank you,
