Clipdiary issues

Always joins group

Hi Folks

I'm using clipdiary and, even when set to not group, it groups in the currently open app.
Sometimes I can't find the open window or close it again - very frustrating.

I imagine the issue is that the app's class isn't well defined or something like that.

Anything I can do about it?

Anyone else any experience of this issue.

Thanks, Jai

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information on your issue.

  1. You on Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11? and its full version numbers please. Use Winver.exe to get those numbers.
  2. Groupy version.
  3. A video showing your issue will help understand your issue.

BTW,

I have download and test this on my Windows 10 system. I saw it did automatically group with my Browser. But when I set Groupy not to group it (refer to screenshot below) automatically. That stop it from being group automatically. Try it on your system and see if that help your issue.

Thanks Basj

I have already Excluded it from grouping - still it groups in every single app!

Windows 11 - 21H2 - build 22000-.613

Groupy V 1.5

In explorer... When I open clipdiary with ctrl-D

Mainly opens in explorer - sometimes it bounces into explorer and then disappears

Thanks for you help.

Best. Jai

Try disable the "Automatically group identical windows together...."

Well - I could do that - however, doesn't that remove most of the point of Groupy - to automatically group my apps in tabs!

Oddly - that doesn't work either - sporadically clipdiary still opens in a tab in explorer!

Right - found the problem.

I had auto group when control key pressed...

To activate clipdiary requires ctrl-d  (hence groupy tries to group the window) doh!

Thanks for your help
