Reproducible Crash In 0.77b

Here is a link to a save in DropBox that can be used to recreate a hard crash by following these steps:

  1. Load the saved game
  2. Find the "Mimot Brotherhood Tojil Fleet II" fleet and click on it to select it.
    1. It is a 10 ship fleet near Betria IV. (see the first screen snapshot below)
      1. The easiest way to find it is to select Betria IV in the colony list, then look right and up a little bit.
  3. Move the fleet 2 cells up and to the left.
    1. A Corporate Sector colony ship will become visible (see the second screen snapshot below)
  4. Move your cursor over the Corporate Sector colony ship and the game will crash.

I have repeated these steps 4 times and the game has crashed each time.  I hope this helps you find the bug and fix it.

As a follow-up, by doing different actions I have been able to continue playing the game from the save I provided above, but it is now crashing every 2 or 3 turns.  These crashes always seem to be related to selecting or moving a ship or fleet.  This has made continuing this game extremely unpleasant, so I am going to start a new game.  I think this time I will try the Baratak Grove and see how they play.
